The Ketchup
Or Catsoup

Or Catch Up, I can never remember.

Last we played, the adventurers went to retrieve the painting of the long dead god. The group was able to retrieve the painting with the help, and betrayal, of Phineas and Ferb, or was it Flannigan? Anyway, this elfie fella led us into a chamber that led to the vault where the painting was located. He brought a nice person with him who wasn’t really nice, in fact he was a rakshasha, a rather non-nice kitty with a penchant for hurling insults and fireballs.

The party gave the kitty a stern talking to and banished him to what ever place evil kitties go. The group then entered the vault, heard a grumbling dragon, and promptly grabbed the painting and high-tailed it out of there.

We, the group, then jumped on some pegasus, lent to us by the Phineas, and flew to a dwarf fortress, not to be confused with http://dwarffortresswiki.org/, which is a version of hell formed of ascii. Once there, the group managed to not be taken prisoner, and not sacrifice Bobbins dagger (Due to the local Jedi.)

Thus, the group is somewhere underground on our way somewhere else.

Huh?
Like I remember back that far

During our last session, we went to the orc prison, fought some shadows, and then freed the prisoners. We found Gzob, who was being held captive, plus the three girls that Purity asked us to look for. Apparently, the girls were not nice to Gzob, which did not go down well with our group.

A Cave Full of Crazy
Bobbin was in his element

The group made their way to the entrance of a large dungeon where they believe Gzob was taken. Bobbin and Alyssa made their way forward and discovered two Orcs guarding the entrance. Bobbin went in and spoke with the surly Orcs who then decided to try to catch him. It is believed the Orcs names were Abbott and Costello. Garf stunned them in a kaleidoscope of color and the group pulled them out of the cave and tied them up. Bobbin and Alyssa did an interrogation of sorts using the old “nice halfling, lame monk” routine. The Orcs agreed that the short, young, unarmed girl was sufficiently scary enough to warrant telling the group what they knew.

Next we had Bobbin talk with his buddy, Uncle Buck, the Goblin Head, who let us know that there was a backdoor entrance further down the mountain. The group head that way and found a trap door under a set of large rocks. Opening the trap door, the group found a passage way to the right and a small room to the left. A secret door was discovered in the room and the group entered another small room with several contraptions and two inhabitants. A Dwarf named Von and his hand puppet named Aldo who where babbling about patents and general craziness. Bobbin, who we all know loves a bit of crazy, entered into some shrewd negotiations with the puppet. After a bit of smooth talking, and several troubling comments about puppets, it was agreed that Von would lead us to the dungeon to try to recover out friend Gzob.

The party departed and surely enough, within 50 feet we ran into one of the fire mages we believe caused the ruckus in the forest who was also surrounded by 3 orc children. Bobbin, feeling that he was on a roll, tried to negotiate with the man. A certain higher power decided that there had been enough talk and that evil guys need to kill, even evil guys who are outnumbered. Bobbin was quickly subdued by spell and a little red imp guy who was invisible appeared and smacked Garf. Alyssa closed in on the mage and threw a warning punch. He did not surrender and soon was smacked around like the wizard that he was. The imp got away.

Bobbin asked the kids some questions about what was going on. It appeared as though the mage was about to sacrifice the children when we came in. Alyssa gave the child, Doodo?, a small scrimshaw toy when he departed.

Visit with Purity, Honor, and Valor
What a nice, shiny, new arm.

Alyssa traveled up to see Purity with the scroll a regeneration. Someone was found who could cast the spell and her arm was regenerated. Purity was very happy. She mentioned that three of her friends were missing: Errelia, Belan, and Telori.

Finding Gzob

(Parts missing because I was on phone, please feel free to edit and elaborate on the missing parts.)

The night started with the group selling their phat loots acquired in earlier sessions. Most of the items were sold off, with a few purchases on our part. The group pitched in together to buy Purity a scroll of regeneration.

Several days later, the group traveled to visit Mip and find out if Gzob had returned. He had not, and Mip, ready to burst with a little one, was starting to get upset. Mip provided the party with a skull of some dead goblin that involved a couple drops of Mips blood. (Alyssa got a bit squeamish at this point.) The skull became animated and started cracking jokes in goblin. It would seem that the skull and Bobbin have a lot in common. The party then traveled back to town to pick up some last minute supplies.

Someone fill in stuff about guards, spearslayer, and Garf’s love shack

The group traveled east up the river and entered into the elvish lands where they met some Centaurs. The centaurs described the fires and how they helped the elves extinguish most of the fires. The centaurs also mentioned that the elven prince Alaorigngslhsdifjhs was missing, but did not provide too many details. The party bid fair well to the centaurs and continued east.

The group ran into the elves several hours later. The elves seemed very distrustful but after a short while seemed to relax a bit and describe what had happened. One evening, arrows rained down on their party. Everyone sought cover until the barrage was over, but when it finished, their prince, Alaoriglskdjflsdj was gone. Immediately after, fires started breaking out all over the place. This could have been the work of a red dragon?

The party moved a bit away from the elves and set up camp. In the night, a pack of wild horses roamed close to the camp. Garf, the horse Gigolo, made his move. Alyssa and Bobbin averted their eyes while Garf tried to impress the horses. Garf offered grain to the horses to lure them in hoping to train them, but they were very skittish.

The part retired once again, but for a second time, were awaken by Garfs dogs. This time, two large flaming (on fire) beings were headed towards the camp. Alyssa tried to assail them with her unarmed attacks, but only really accomplished in singeing her eyebrows. Garf was able to destroy them with his lighting bolts while Grannan attempted to summon make believe ice elementals that only the party believed were there. Bobbin danced around doing what is believed to be a rain dance. It didn’t work.

After the fight, two fire opals were retrieved from the corpses of the fire elementals.

Alchemy After Hours
They are now Green Maidens?

The adventurers started by speaking with Jani and attempting to figure out who had kidnapped her. Much to the surprise of everyone, it was the Grey Maidens. * Clenched fist raised up and shaking * Grey Maidens!!!

The time was nearing midnight – when Isabeau was supposed to arrive alone at the Graveyard. The group made its way out to the edge of the graveyard where Bobbin scouted out the area and reported back that he had seen three figures crouched down behind gravestones. Granan then sent a magical message to the gaurds back in town asking for backup. The group didn’t need backup, they had Garf.

Garf created a large flaming ball and rolled it around the graveyard, apparently annoying some undead maidens to no end. The group moved forward towards the tomb in the center believing that any sane evil leader would be in there, but they were not. It was a ruse. Sadly for the bad guys, they didn’t see us running across graveyard and so we were able to spring a trap on them. Of course, our trap involved Garf blowing them up with a fireball. (Garf really likes fire!)

Alyssa, now invisible thanks to Granan, snuck around looking for leader of the Grey Maidens. Ysabeau boldly strode forward in an effort to get disemboweled, which was almost successful. The leader was identified as the alchemist Bobbin annihilated during the dinner at the Dukes who had apparently had a way to come back as a construct thingy. Garf and Alyssa concentrated on her while Bobbin and Ysabeau focused fire on Alai. The alchemist tried to touch Alyssa, but her hands were cold, so Alyssa declined.

When the alchemist died, the others became incapacitated. Each was destroyed and their bodies burned, but not before some happy loot was discovered.

A rough night on the nose
Would you like a cherry with that zombie?

As the party left the town meeting about securing the portal, there was much talk of the brilliance of Alyssa’s design involving the stone rooms, spheres of annihilation, teleportation, and bees. But due to a few small component requirements, everyone knew it probably wouldn’t happen and concessions would have to be made.

Bobbin went to check on his new Inn and was told by some workers that they had heard noises below the town in the sewers. Once Bobbin finished, Alyssa mentioned that she was going to the goblins because when she last visited, Gzob was missing. The others, particularly Chikna, were interested in checking in on their goblin friends and made there way to the goblin caves. There they were met by Lilo, who then brought the party to Mip. Mip is now very pregnant and after a few pleasantries, informed the group that Gzob had been sent to visit the Earthblood clan and had still not returned. After inquiring about the location of the Earthblood clan, the party learned that it is located in or near the underdark, which Mip said was a very dangerous place for nice people. Mip said that while she was worried, she would not become overly concerned for a couple more days. The group then decided to get their affairs in order and return in 3 days to check on Gzob, if he wasn’t back, they would depart to go look for him.

The group then returned to Ysabeaus tavern and found that no one was working. The group found them in Ysabeaus office having an argument. (While Chikna nabbed some wine from behind the counter.) Ysabeaus showed the group a note that said her adopted mother, Janna, was being held and Ysabeau had to show up at the cemetary at midnight to get her back.

The group surmised that Ysabeaus mother may be held in the sewers and since they had a couple of hours until the midnight meeting, it was best if they scoured the sewers really fast to make sure she wasn’t down there. The group entered the sewer and traveled towards the most remote part thinking that was where someone hiding would most likely be. The group eventually found a room with three zombies that were guarding Ysabeaus mother. The zombies were dispatched and Janna was healed by Chikna.

Dragonspear
The Three Amigo(a)s

After the antics with the Gwydion and the Grey Maidens, the group decided to rest a bit, then head down to Dragonspear castle. There was word of trouble in the area and several members of the group wanted to explore the area.

The group headed south along the road for a day and came to a town. The townsfolk informed the group that many women warriors had visited the town a day or two before and had caused quite the ruckus. We got re-provisioned and headed south again. One morning we made the startling discovery that we had camped right next to a Rocs nest. That wasn’t our brightest moment. Shortly after that, an elven gentleman who Bobbin was searching for flew down on a flying horse. He greeted us and asked us if we would look after three children in a cabin ahead. He was going to look for help since apparently both the Grey Maidens with Liota and a contingent of orcs with Logat had shown up. They were trying to recover the spear and helm of the Dwarf and Dragon that used to rule the lands.

The mighty adventurers found the cabin. Two of the children were there, both boys, Honor and Valor. The boys explained that their sister was taken captive and held in the keep. They also described what was in the keep and what they knew to be there. Also, it was pointed out to the group that something lived in the northwest tower that called itself a dragon. It was friends with the children.

The party traveled on to the keep with Bobbin and Alyssa doing some scouting. The scout team learned that Purity, the girl, was being kept in a cage in the courtyard along with another man, both in separate cages. Purity was being held by a Hill Giant.

The group, with the layout of the keep in hand, went up to see the dragon guy. Once he was informed that Purity was being held captive, he flew over and attacked the Hill Giant. The group rushed in an freed her, escaping into the darkness. Garf stayed back to take a short or two on the Hill Giant, helping our wanna-be dragon ally. Purity was returned to the cabin, her arm was shattered during captivity and hung useless by her side.

The group then proceeded back to the keep where Bobbin used the hat of disguise to look like a goblin and secure the release of the male prisoner. He turned out to be Capt. Spearslayers husband. If he survives back to Daggerford, the Capt. will probably kill him.

Time was now running short so the group decided that saving the helm was more important than the spear. The group made its way down into the keep and saw the Orcs had positioned themselves in such a manner as to give a mage happy dreams for years to come. Garf proceeded to obliterate all but one of the enemy with fireballs. The placed smelled horrendous. Logat was tough but the group took her down in short order.

The group quickly ran back to check on the spear, but Liota and the maidens had already retrieved it. The group found the three children had disobeyed them and come to the chamber where the dragon had been slain. It was still in good shape considering it had been dead for a decade or so.

The party went back to the chamber where Logat was killed, killed some mummies, and retrieved the helm.

A Purrrfect day for a fight
Stupid Goatee!

The week started soon after the trouncing of the Grey Maidens. The group learned that Ganjii was supposedly behind all of the shenanigans. The crew ran back to the inn, suited up, and cruised over to Delfens tower. We were all impressed by Delfens amazing ability to get immediately trapped in a spell. The group heard some growling, screaming, and general hysteria coming from Delfens tower. We hastened into the tower and found Ganjii standing behind an invisible wall with a large hell cat [ http://www.bizarbin.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/evil-cat2.jpg ] threatening him. The group intervened and killed the kitty, but not before he ate part of Alyssa.

Ganjii then claimed that Gwydion was really behind everything. The group ran back to the castle with Ganjii in tow. We found Gwydions room empty and were then informed that the Duke was broke. Nelson stood by and pointed at the Duke and said “Ha ha”

Dance, Dance Revolution
Grey Maidens are Prickly Little ...

The dukes party was an enjoyable event. It started with a bit of mingling and proceeded to a fine meal that was a delight to all, except for Garf who apparently filled up on rice cakes right before the party. Bronwyn was acting weird, but that was because she wasn’t Bronwyn. There was some fine dancing by the group members except for a couple missed dances between Alyssa and Ysabeau because they had some girlie talk to attend to.

The party had an exotic dancer who was not hit on by Chikna because Chuck was sick. Bobbin played a nice tune much to the enjoyment of everyone. We had a great toast where the Duke and Gwydion were poisoned; thankfully Garf remembered what the remedy was. Delfen then cast some detects and warned everyone that there was magic about. Garf also did something similar, but no one listens to Garf. May be we should listen to him a little .. Squirrel!

Delfen then dispelled all the illusions and we all went “oh”. Bronwyn was Alai, not Liota, which was the true surprise. Most of the guards were shown to be Grey Maidens and last, many women had their larger breast sizes dispelled; much sadness ensued.

The group then attacked the Grey Maidens with Rakadara volunteering to take all the hits from them except for a couple stray swings that caught Garf and Alyssa. Alai fell quickly and the pathetic alchemist was eviscerated by the dapper halfing. Loot abounded although Alyssa pouted due to bleeding on her new dress. (Shakes Fist at GM)
